UFC star Conor McGregor has named three fighters he would like to take on in his next three fights.
The last time McGregor was in the octagon was during his fight against Dustin Poirier after which he spend almost two years out of action following a nasty leg break at UFC 264 in July 2021.
But, the Irishman is ready to return to the octagon and has already outlined his next three fights.
“(Michael) Chandler next (in) December,” McGregor said. “And then (Justin) Gaethje (for the) BMF (belt) and then we’ll do Nate (Diaz) trilogy.”
Chandler responded to the 34-year-old’s challenge without mentioning his name on his Twitter account.
“December sounds perfect to me…,” Chandler wrote on Twitter.
Despite not being in the octagon for the last two years, the Irishman, somehow, has been in the news for reasons other than UFC.
In July, a video of McGregor coming out of a pub with his security surrounding the cars emerged and left the fans confused wondering what is going on.
The Irishman remained silent on the controversy, however, the incident occurred just the very same night that Merseyside police reported an incident at the pub.
Meanwhile, In June, McGregor was accused of sexually harassing a woman at an NBA basketball match in Miami.
According to TMZ, a woman accused the 34-year-old of sexually assaulting her in the bathroom right after the basketball game ended.
The MMA icon has lost three of his last four fights. Including back-to-back defeats against Poirier at UFC 257 and 264 and a famous submission defeat against the undefeated UFC star Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 on October 7, 2018.
At his peak, McGregor won two UFC titles and impressively knocked out eight opponents. The quickest knockout win of his career came against Jose Aldo in December 2015 when he knocked Aldo out in just 13 seconds.
In his UFC career, the 34-year-old was undefeated in his first seven fights from 2013 to 2015. His first loss came against Nate Diaz at UFC 196 in March 2016.
